Hummus is an easy side dish that I make almost every week. There are many recipes, this is my favorite! Chickpeas should be soaked overnight before cooking. I also often add baking soda to the soaking water. There are many recipes, this is my favorite.
Ingredients:
- 3 dl chickpeas
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 dl olive oil
- 4 tbsp tahini
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 teaspoons of jeera or cumin
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon rose salt
Guide:
1. Mix the ingredients with a hand mixer or in a blender.
2. Add water depending on the texture you want.Pour over olive oil and paprika powder.
3. Chop, for example, carrot, celery, cucumber or asparagus into pieces and dip in hummus.
Note! If you want the hummus to be beautifully light, use light raw tahini. This time there was only dark in my cupboard. You can also leave out the turmeric if you want an aesthetically better colored hummus.
