Detox means cleansing the body of harmful metabolic products. The liver is responsible for detoxification and its function can be supported e.g. by adding vegetables and exercise. Fresh air and sauna also help to cleanse the body. However, drinking water is the easiest way to start supporting your liver. With this simple recipe, you can boost liver enzymes.

Detox Drink

Ingredients:

  • 0.5l of water
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of honey or stevia
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp ginger

Depending on your preferences, you can replace turmeric and cayenne with cinnamon and vanilla. Or increase the power by adding more black pepper. You do get used to the strength of apple cider vinegar, but it’s worth investing in good quality apple cider vinegar. Currently, I like the taste of apple cider vinegar so much that I use it in every salad dressing and some soups as well.
