I’ve been without coffee for the whole fall and still surprisingly, full of energy! Maybe you can live without coffee. These brownies were a delicious enough way to end that experiment.
Raw materials for the base:
- 5 dl raw, organic nuts
- 1 dl of dates
- 5 tablespoons of unheated organic honey
- 5 tablespoons of coconut oil melted into a clear liquid
- ½ dl raw cocoa powder
- 2 tsp cardamom
- 2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
Raw ingredients for the frosting:
1 dl of dates
1 dl strong coffee cold
1/4 teaspoon of good quality salt
2 tablespoons of lecithin powder
1 tsp vanilla powder
½ dl raw cocoa powder
1 dl melted coconut oil
Guide:
1. Put all the nuts and dates on the bottom into a food processor.
2. Transfer the mass to a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
3. Transfer the mass to a pan and put it in the freezer to harden.
4. Start making the frosting by putting all the ingredients, except the coconut oil, into a blender.
5. Mix until smooth.
6. Add coconut oil and spin the blender one more time.
7. Pour the frosting over the base and put it in the freezer to harden.
8. Cut the frozen brownies into pieces and you can decorate with cocoa powder and coffee beans or nuts.
The brownie keeps well in the freezer, and you can take the required amount in the fridge to thaw before serving.
