Natural and deliciously smelling bug spray

bug spray

Many bug sprays on the market not only have a horrible smell, but are also chemical bombs. One of the essential ingredients in bug repellents is DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide), which has been found to cause health problems. My homemade bug spray mainly contains essential oils that smell good and do not pose a health risk. Almost every bug repellant I make myself has at least tea tree oil and citronella, because they repel mosquitoes. Try a homemade bug spray and you might be positively surprised by its effectiveness!

Ingredients:

½ dl of water
½ dl witch hazel (Thayers original – from iHerb)
¼ dl mct oil
10 drops of tea tree oil
10 drops of citronella
5 drops of eucalyptus oil
5 drops lavender

Guide:

1. Put the ingredients in a dark glass spray bottle. Shake vigorously to mix the oil and water and you have a natural, safe and good-smelling bug spray.

2. Always shake the bottle before spraying.

Despite the spraying, you should do a tick check after every outdoor activity.

Enjoy outdoor activities!
